How it works

Build workouts your way, then run them with confidence

Kaizen Fitness blends a manual workout builder with optional AI planning, so you can stay in control of the details while still getting structure and momentum. Whether you prefer fully manual training or want AI suggestions to speed up planning, the experience is centered on clear sets, reps, and progress you can review.

Manual tracking flow

The manual builder starts with the basics: choose exercises, set the number of sets, and enter reps, weight, and optional RPE. You can add notes for cues, substitutions, or timing. This keeps every workout focused on the metrics that actually matter during training.

Each exercise can include multiple sets, and the builder keeps the layout simple so you can scan the plan at a glance. You can add or remove sets as you go, and adjust the plan later if you want to change volume, intensity, or focus.

Plans vs sessions

A plan is the blueprint. It captures your preferred exercises, set targets, and intent. When you start a session, that plan becomes a real workout where you log what you actually did. This separation helps you keep structure while still responding to how you feel on the day.

Sessions are where progress happens. The app keeps your logged sets tied to the plan so you can review performance and make quick adjustments next time. You can stay fully manual or combine manual structure with guidance when you want a faster setup.

Progress and streaks

Review sessions in a calendar view, then check streaks and achievements to keep your momentum steady over time. Progress stays visible without cluttering the workout flow.

AI features, at your pace

AI tools can suggest workouts, organize training blocks, and help refine volume or exercise balance. The goal is to reduce the time it takes to get a solid plan, not to replace your judgment. You can accept the suggestions, edit them, or ignore them entirely.

If you want AI access, you can bring your own API key or use a managed plan when available. If you do not want AI at all, you can still run the full manual workflow without any AI prompts or generation.

Guest mode limitations

Guest mode is a demo workout session that runs locally in your browser. It skips the builder and account features, and it keeps progress only on this device. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, your demo session will not carry over.

Creating an account unlocks cloud sync, history, and optional AI features. It also lets you keep plans and sessions connected across devices. The demo stays separate so you can preview the experience without committing.

Data and privacy overview

When you create an account, your workouts, sessions, and preferences are stored so you can review progress and keep plans consistent. We use this data to operate the service and provide the features you request. Details are covered in our Privacy Policy.

You control what you enter and can update or delete your data through the app. Guest mode keeps workout data on your device only, while account mode provides synced storage and retrieval when you log in.
